Hodeidah Criminal Court holds hearing to try  accused of assassinating Martyr al-Samad

HODEIDAH, April 28 (Saba) - The Specialized primary criminal court in Hodeidah on Saturday held its second public hearing to try those accused of involvement in the assassination of Martyr President of the Supreme Political Council, Saleh Ali al-Samad and his companions.

At the hearing in the case No. (12) for the year 2019, which was presided over by the President of the Court, Judge Amin Zabara, the Court heard the evidence provided by the prosecution and witnesses.

The Court approved the completion of the hearing of evidence at a future hearing and the implementation of its decision to publish the names of accused absentees via the official media.

Their number is estimated at 52 accused, including foreigners and Yemenis

The court also approved that the relatives of the victims and the accused, or those on their behalf, be able to access the file of the case and provide judicial aid to those in custody, who are in need to it.

Hodeidah Prosecution accuses 62 defendants, the first of them is US's Donald John Trump and the last is Muadh Abdul Rahman Abbas, to participate in a criminal agreement targeting the convoy of the President of the Supreme Political Council Martyr Saleh Ali al-Samad and his six companions on 19 April 2018 in the city of Hodeidah.
