
ANAA, March 2 (SABA) - The agriculture and irrigation office in Sanaa produced some 20,000 agricultural seedlings in January.
Director of the Agriculture Office in the province, Engineer Ali Al-Qiri told Saba that the office took advantage of the start of the agricultural season and made self-made efforts to produce thousands of grape seedlings, perennials, pomegranates, figs, berries and almonds in nurseries Mosna and Rawdha and Beer Al-Shaif.
He pointed out that the seedlings will be ready for distribution to farmers next year, stressing the concern to produce local varieties of high quality.
The Director of the Office of Agriculture added that the office is in the production of 50 thousand seedlings in the nursery Haimah Kharijiah, stressing the importance of providing seedlings of coffee and almonds and distribution to farmers for the importance of these crops in the promotion of food security.
