Health Minister: UNICEF locomotives at Maitam customs office have not completed documents

IBB, Feb. 27 (Saba) - Minister of Public Health and Population Dr. Taha Al-Mutawakil on Tuesday confirmed that the locomotives of UNICEF stopped in the Mitam Customs in Ibb province for have not completed their documents.

During his visit this evening to the custom site, the Minister of Health denied allegations of the US-saudi-backed aggression coalition over blocking the entrance of the organization's aid locomotives.

He noted that those 35 locomotives do not carry any papers and documents indicating the country of origin, distribution plan, detailed packing list even drug validity.

He stressed the keenness of the ministry to enter any medical and treatment assistance to Yemen, provided that all documents are completed in order to preserve the lives of citizens.

"We have been in contact with the organization on the issue and confirmed that they took the papers to Aden," he said.

Dr. Al-Mutawakel held the coalition of aggression responsible for prevent the entry of medicines to Hodeidah causing delays and damage.

The Minister of Health asked UNICEF to take responsibility for the entry of medicines through Hodeidah and to send the agreed documents to facilitate their entry into the country.
