ٍSANAA, Feb. 13 (Saba) - The Ministry of Public Health and Population said the number of swine flu deaths H1N1 amounted to 132 cases during the years 2018 and 2019.
Official spokesman of the Ministry of Health, Dr. Youssef Al-Hazzari, told Saba that Sana'a ranks first in the number of deaths, followed by Amran and Ibb.
He stressed that the epidemic is still spreading and expanding, despite the actions carried out by the ministry to contain it..
He pointed out that the spread of swine flu recently in Yemen was the result of accumulations of four years of US-backed saudi-led aggression coalition's war, their siege, in addition to the destruction of health facilities and infrastructure.
He added that these accumulations weakened the system of epidemiological surveillance of diseases in general and influenza in particular, not to mention the difficulty of combating the emergence of any epidemic due to the interruption of operating expenses.
