SANAA, June 30 (Saba) - Prime Minister Abdulaziz bin Habtoor and Deputy Minister of Education, head of the Higher Committee for Exams Abdullah al-Hamedi, on Saturday inaugurated the High School Certificate (HSC)'s exams at the level of the capital Sanaa and provinces.
Earlier the day, about 198,136 students of both gender headed to 1085 centers distributed in the capital Sanaa and other provinces to conduct the final exams for obtaining the HSC in bother scientific and literary sections.
The prime minister, along with a number of local officials, visited several centers in the capital, where they inspected the exams process.
In a statement to the media, bin Habtoor greeted the students, who are conducting the exams in these difficult times.
He congratulated teachers, school administrations and local authorities in the capital and provinces for reaching this event despite the challenges.
"We should pay tribute to all those parties that have succeeded in overcoming the special internal challenges, as well as the biggest challenge facing our country at this moment, as our sons and daughters are taking exams while missiles and bombs are still falling on our homeland from the air, land and sea," said bin Habtoor.
