SANAA, June 22 (Saba) – The Yemen army and popular committees repelled two infiltration attempts, shot down an espionage plane and sniped 18 Saudi-paid mercenaries as well as artillery and missile shells targeted Saudi army and mercenaries’ gatherings in the front lines over the past 24 hours, according to military reports combined by Saba News Agency on Friday.
In Najran border province, artillery shelling targeted gatherings of Saudi-paid mercenaries in Ajasher desert.
Also in Najran, a mercenaries’ infiltration attempt was repelled in front of Ajasher desert, killing, wounding dozens of the mercenaries and bombing a military vehicle, loaded with mercenaries, by an explosive device.
Furthermore, artillery force of the army and committees shelled mercenaries’ gatherings in front of Khadhra border crossing and Boqea desert, causing direct casualties.
In additional, two military vehicles were destroyed by explosive devices in Ajasher desert, killing and wounding all their crews.
In the border Saudi province of Jizan, artillery and missile bombing targeted Saudi army and mercenaries’ gatherings in the sites of Jilah, Madrasa village, Jahfan mount and in the south of Ma’aeen valley.
In Asir border province, a mercenaries’ infiltration attempt was foiled in the west of Majaza, killing and wounding dozens, as well as dozens of the mercenaries were killed and wounded when the army and committees launched an offensive on their sites in the west of Majaza.
Also in Asir, Katyusha rockets were fired toward mercenaries’ gatherings in the west of Majaza, causing direct casualties.
In Saada province, an espionage plane was shot down in Dhahir district.
In Taiz province, a military vehicle, carrying a 50-caliber machinegun with a guided missile, killing its crew in Wazeaiah district.
In Bayda province, a commander of the so-called Brigade 153 of Bihan, Ahmed Saleh al-Aqili was killed with his companions in Natea front.
In Medi district of Hajjah province, artillery force of the army and popular committees shelled mercenaries’ gatherings in the north of Medi desert.
Also in the north of Medi desert, nine of the mercenaries were shot dead.
Sniper unit of the army and popular committees killed and injured more than 18 Saudi-paid mercenaries in several frontlines during the past 24 hours.
