SANA'A, Jan. 15 (Saba) – Foreign Minister Hisham Shafaf met here on Sunday with head of the UN office for the coordination of humanitarian affairs in Yemen, George Khoury.
The meeting dealt with the issues relating to the office's activity and how to enhance and facilitate its tasks to enable it to provide further services.
Sharaf stressed the need for coordinating efforts between the UN organizations and the National Salvation Government to reopen Sana'a International Airport before the commercial and civilian navigation to alleviate the suffering of Yemeni citizens.
He reiterated that the peaceful political settlement is the only way to overcome the Saudi aggression.
For his part, the UN official confirmed the importance of the field existence of the UN programs and organizations and the expansion of their activities.
