SANA'A, Jan. 09 (Saba) - Foreign Minister Hisham Sharaf met on Monday in Sana'a with the International Organization for Migration (IOM) Regional Director for the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) Carmela Godeau; and her accompanying delegation.
The delegation came to the country in an official visit will last for several days.
The minister discussed with the delegation a number of issues related to the challenges faced by Yemen towards immigrants and internally displaced issues and the possible ways to provide them with the facilities, as well as address migration issues and the influx of migrants to Yemen from neighboring countries.
The meeting emphasized the need of the humanitarian international organizations cooperation in order to lift ban imposed by the aggression's countries led by Saudi Arabia against Yemen.
The meeting also discussed the issue of the financial transitions to Yemen and the concerted international efforts to open Sana'a international Airport before civil and humanitarian flights because of the importance of the airport for the Yemeni people.
The meeting dealt with the developments of the Yemeni situation and assisting non-Yemeni refugees in the country who want to come back to their homes as well as refugees who are still coming to Yemen from the Horn of Africa countries and internally displaced people.
The meeting also dealt with the issue of improving the situation of illegal immigrants in Yemen and assisting them in finding solutions to their issues so as to improve their condition.
