SANA'A, Dec. 21 (Saba) - The Ministry of Public Health and Population and the Global Health Development organization represented by the Eastern Mediterranean Public Health Network (EMPHNET) signed a memorandum of understanding.
The MoU was signed on Tuesday by Dr. Abdussalam al-Madani, undersecretary of the health ministry for health care sector, and Executive Director at EMPHNET Dr. Mohannad Al-Nsour, who was represented in Yemen by the Network's public health and communication adviser Dr. Ali al-Madwahi.
The memorandum includes aspects of cooperation between the two sides and the areas of intervention, which covers investigation into cases of diseases spread, preparedness, emergency response, design and implementation of researches, monitoring non-communicable diseases and epidemics, health communication, introducing the International Health Regulations (2005-IHR) and their applications, nutritious interventions among children, medical ethics in public health and leadership and management in the decision-making process.
