SANA'A, Dec. 20 (Saba) - Minister of Public Health and Population Dr. Mohammed Salem Bin Hafeez met with visiting International President of Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF) Dr. Joanne Liu and managers of the Dutch, Spanish, French and Swiss MSF's organizations.
The meeting took place on Monday, during which Bin Hafeez expressed his happiness to meet the managers of the MSF.
Bin Hafeez said the government will continue facilitating the work and activities of all humanitarian organizations working in Yemen, stressing on the increasing need for coordination and communication between the ministry and the international humanitarian organizations to ensure the achievement of common goals for providing health services to the Yemeni citizens.
Meanwhile, the MSF's international president reviewed the MSF's activities in Yemen over the previous period, saying that its organization have provided health services to about 13 health facilities and 10 hospitals across eight Yemeni provinces.
She also said that its organization have treated about 50,000 wounded by the ongoing war on Yemen, confirming the readiness of MSF to expand support to the health sector in Yemen.
