SANAA , Oct. 11 (Saba) – The Supreme Political Council welcomed a call by United Nations secretary-general Ban ki-moon to form an international independent commission to carry out investigations into crimes committed by Saudi-led coalition against civilians in Yemen, including the crime of targeting funeral hall in the capital Sanaa.
The move came in a statement by a senior official at the council late on Monday.
Meanwhile, the council's official praised the statement by UN High Commissioner for Human Rights Zeid Ra'ad Al Hussein, in which Al Hussein confirmed the need of forming a swift and impartial international body to investigate into war crimes committed by Saudi-led coalition aggression forces against Yemeni people.
The council's official also called for the international community to act for stopping the U.S.-Saudi aggression and lift air, land and sea blockade.
