SANAA, Sept. 28 (Saba) – The Supreme Political Council ratified an implementation mechanism to carry out general amnesty, forming a main presidential committee based in the capital Sanaa to oversee the process.
The resolution made in a meeting here presided by president Saleh al-Sammad and published by official gazette on Wednesday. The approval was based on the presidential decree No. 15 for the year 2016.
The meeting also approved full authorities to the newly formed main committee of granting amnesty, including setting up subsidiary committees throughout the country's provinces.
The main committee, as one of its authorities, was authorized to publish in the official gazette all applicants for the general amnesty.
