MAREB, July 12 (Saba) – A large number of hirelings were killed during a failed infiltration attempt in Mareb province, a military official said Tuesday.
A number of the hirelings were injured and some others were captured in the failed attempt, the official added.
He explained that the army and popular committees forces repulsed an attempt by the mercenaries to infiltrate toward Haid and Badin in Nehm area in the western part of Mareb province.
The army and committees repelled another attempt by the hirelings to advance on Yam mountains, killing and injuring a number of them, he said.
It is the fifth attempt over the last 48 hours and the bodies of many of mercenaries are still scattered in Fardhat Nehm area, according to the military official.
