KUWAIT, June 04 (Saba) - Riyadh's delegation refrained from providing explanations regarding 4000 detainees from the army and popular committees, a learned official said on Saturday.
The official told Saba that Riyadh's delegation submitted a list includes only 137 detainees to the United Nations.
The United Nations is working on the release of one thousand prisoners from both sides before the holy month of Ramadan and has received lists from both sides for this purpose, he explained.
"The delegation of Riyadh gave the United Nations a list of 2,630 detainees in custody of Sana'a party (the national delegation), but refused to recognize more than 137 detainees being held in its custody," the official said.
He demanded the United Nations to arrange for releasing detainees, even at a minimum.
The official confirmed the national delegation's readiness to the exchange process, saying that the determination of the final number is at the hand of Riyadh's delegation.
