Residents of Maeen district in the Capital Sana'a organized several cultural evenings on Monday in celebration of the Prophet Muhammad’s birthday.
The events, held in various neighborhoods including al-Abrar and al-Ghurra in al-Sanina, Qa’a Madhbah and al-Ja’ra in Madhbah, Wadi al-Fajir in Asr, and al-Qulaisi in al-Quba, featured speeches and cultural performances.
Participants included Member of Parliament Mohammed Mushalli, First Deputy of the Capital Sana'a Khalid al-Madani, and Maeen Director Abdulmalik al-Radhi. They highlighted the importance of commemorating this significant religious occasion in a manner befitting its honor in the hearts of Yemenis, sending a strong message to adversaries.
Speeches emphasized the mercy and goodness of the prophetic message, as well as the human values and principles that inspire Yemenis to observe the birthday with sincere faith, reinforcing love and loyalty to the Prophet and following his righteous path.
The celebrations also stressed the role of this occasion in spiritual purification, ethical conduct, patience, steadfastness, and applying the prophetic methodology in all aspects of life.
Speakers called for channeling the celebrations to strengthen social awareness, resilience, and charitable acts to alleviate the suffering of the poor and needy, especially during this occasion.
