Abdulrahman Al-Wajih, Head of the Grievances Redressal Authority branch in Al-Dhale' Governorate, along with Judge Mohammed Al-Mahjari, President of Damt Primary Court, and Ahmed Al-Asbili, Deputy Prosecutor, today inspected the conditions of inmates at the Central Correctional Facility in Damt District.
The officials reviewed the circumstances of indigent prisoners and explored ways to find solutions for settling their outstanding debts to secure their release.
During the visit, the court and prosecution submitted a list of seven indigent prisoners to the General Zakat Authority to settle their debts under the amnesty initiative of Revolution Leader Sayyed Abdul Malik Badreddin Al-Houthi. This initiative, issued on the occasion of the Prophet’s Birthday (Mawlid al-Nabi), facilitates the release of prisoners held due to financial obligations to others.
