The agricultural sector in Dhamar Province organized a cultural event on Monday to commemorate the blessed anniversary of the Prophet’s Birthday (peace and blessings be upon him and his family).
The event was attended by the General Authority for Agricultural Research and Extension, the Public Corporation for Improved Seed Multiplication, the Rasaba Dairy Farm, and the General Company for Potato Seed Multiplication.
During the event, the Governorate Deputy, Mohammed Abdulrazzaq, emphasized the importance of celebrating the Prophet’s Birthday and drawing lessons from this great occasion, which is deeply connected to the history of the Islamic state.
He highlighted the significance of commemorating this anniversary in embodying the faith-based identity , reinforcing the values of resilience and steadfastness in the face of conspiracies targeting the nation.
Abdulrazzaq stressed the need to continue organizing cultural and awareness-raising activities, as well as mobilizing support for the central event to be held on the 12th of Rabi’ al-Awwal in the squares of the Great Prophet in Dhamar city and Wusab.
For his part, Dr. Abdullah Al-Alfi, Chairman of the General Authority for Agricultural Research and Extension, pointed out the importance of celebrating this occasion, which marks the birth of the best of mankind, who guided the nation from the darkness of ignorance to the light of Islam.
He noted that the Yemeni people have celebrated the Prophet’s Birthday for centuries, stating: "Those who deny the Yemenis the right to celebrate this great occasion are disregarding the immense role of the Prophet of guidance and leader of the nation, whose life and struggle we emulate in standing firm for truth and confronting enemies."
He also emphasized the need to utilize this occasion to support efforts in expanding agricultural production to achieve food security and self-sufficiency.
Meanwhile, Dr. Hassan Al-Khawlani, Director of the Research Sector at the General Authority for Agricultural Research and Extension, highlighted the significance of this anniversary and its place in the hearts of the Yemeni people, who have supported the religion of Allah and the Prophet since the dawn of Islam.
