Chelsea wrapped up their pre-season with a dominant 4-1 win over Italian side AC Milan in a friendly on Sunday.
Chelsea took an early lead in the 5th minute due to an own goal by Milan defender Andrej Kubis, who was later sent off in the 18th minute, reducing Milan to ten men.
Joao Pedro scored Chelsea’s second goal in the 8th minute, and Liam Delap extended the lead in the 67th minute.
Milan’s Youssouf Fofana pulled one back in the 70th minute, but Delap secured the 4-1 victory with a late goal in stoppage time.
Chelsea will start their Premier League season next Saturday against Crystal Palace, while Milan open their Serie A campaign on August 23 against Cremonese.
