In the team's first appearance of the season, Ahmed Reda scored Al-Ahly's opening goal in the 50th minute, but Hossam Hassan equalized for Modern Sport in the 58th minute.
In the 74th minute, Ali El-Feel scored Modern Sport's second goal, but Yassin Marei equalized for Al-Ahly five minutes later.
