Israeli occupation settlers on Sunday set up a new outpost in the village of Shalal al-Auja, north of Jericho, according to the Palestinian news agency Wafa.
Hassan Mleihat, head of al-Baidar Organization for Defending the Rights of Bedouins and Targeted Villages, said settlers brought in zinc sheets, prefabricated structures, and building materials, seizing a residential structure belonging to a displaced family.
He added that settlers have been harassing residents by grazing livestock among their homes and cutting off their water supply, in what he described as part of an expansionist colonial policy aimed at displacing Palestinians.
Mleihat stressed that such actions violate international law and pose a direct threat to the rights of the indigenous population, urging urgent international intervention to stop the abuses.
