Moscow – Saba:
Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Sergei Ryabkov confirmed on Sunday that his country has invested its time in developing its military arsenal, noting that the "Orshchnik" Ballistic Missile System is not the only weapon recently put into service.
In an interview with "Russia" channel, Ryabkov stated that Moscow "has not wasted its time in vain" and has produced other advanced weapons, adding: "Oryonik is already here, but we also have other weapons whose details I cannot disclose at this time."
Regarding the possibility of deploying these weapons in new regions, the Russian official explained that "specifying certain locations or geographical areas would be irresponsible," emphasizing that Moscow has "multiple options on the table and is not ruling any of them out."
Russian President Vladimir Putin first announced on November 21, 2024, the use of the non-nuclear, medium-range "Oryonik" missiles against Ukraine's "Yuzhmash" defense industry plant in response to long-range Western weapon attacks targeting Russia.
Later, reports emerged about Moscow's intention to deploy this system in Belarus during the second half of 2025.
The "Orshchnik" system is distinguished by its ability to strike targets at distances of up to 5,000 kilometers, with near-impossible interception capabilities.
