Interior Minister Major General Abdulkarim Al-Houthi inspected on Sunday the workflow at the Unified Traffic Licensing Center in the General Traffic Department of the Capital Secretariat.
Accompanied by the Ministry’s Undersecretary for Security and Police Affairs, Major General Ahmed Jaafar, the minister reviewed the operations in the center’s sections and the mechanism for providing services to citizens using the latest systems.
They were briefed by the Director-General of Traffic Police, Major General Dr. Bakeel Al-Barashi, on the services provided by the center to the public, which is considered a model facility for delivering comprehensive traffic services through modern technical means.
Major General Al-Barashi explained that the center, launched earlier this year, relies on an electronic system to complete transactions, significantly reducing time and effort while ensuring speedy processing. He noted that the center’s design includes dedicated sections for women, people with disabilities, and international license issuance.
Interior Minister Major General Al-Houthi praised the efforts of Traffic Police leadership and personnel in enhancing operations and implementing continuous development and improvement plans. He stressed the importance of streamlining procedures and advancing technical work to meet traffic safety requirements and improve service quality for citizens.
"What we witnessed today at the Unified Traffic Licensing Center is a remarkable achievement that instills pride and embodies the Interior Ministry’s vision of elevating security services to advanced levels of accuracy, speed, and quality," he said.
He added that these dedicated efforts reflect Traffic Police’s commitment to serving citizens with diligence, sincerity, and responsibility, affirming continued support for all steps to enhance traffic performance and provide necessary resources to sustain this service advancement that impacts citizens' daily lives.
