On Saturday evening, the Turkish city of Istanbul witnessed a massive march under the slogan "Be Hope for Gaza," in solidarity with the Palestinians subjected to a genocidal war at the hands of the Israeli entity.
According to the Anadolu Agency, the march, organized by approximately 15 civil society organizations in Turkey, began with demonstrators gathering in Beyazit Square on the European side of Istanbul.
The march aims to draw international public attention to the genocidal war and the siege that the Israeli entity continues to impose on Gaza.
Thousands of demonstrators chanted slogans such as "Murderer Israel, leave Palestine" and "The children of Gaza are waiting for us."
The demonstrators also raised Turkish and Palestinian flags and held banners bearing slogans such as "The Zionist killers will be held accountable" and "Israel is starving Gaza."
The demonstrators later headed to the Hagia Sophia Mosque on foot, where the event is scheduled to conclude with the recitation of a statement, prayers, and speeches by representatives of the march organizers.
With American support, the Israeli entity has been committing genocide in Gaza since October 7, 2023, including killing, starvation, destruction, and forced displacement, ignoring all international appeals and orders from the International Court of Justice to halt it.
The genocide has left 61,369 Palestinians dead and 152,862 injured, most of them children and women. Over 9,000 are missing, in addition to hundreds of thousands of displaced persons and a famine that has claimed the lives of many.
