Guardiola revealed the latest developments in the midfielder's condition in statements reported by the Manchester Evening News, confirming that the injury Rodri sustained during a friendly against Al-Hilal was severe.
Guardiola said: "Rodri has improved slightly, but he suffered a serious injury in the last match. He has trained better recently, and we hope he will return to us after the international break once his recovery is complete."
