Istanbul – Saba: Mustafa Karasu, a leader of the Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK), called on Devlet Bahçeli, leader of the Turkish Nationalist Movement Party (MHP), to implement the initiative he launched last October regarding the release of Abdullah Öcalan.
In press statements on Thursday, Karasu pointed out that there has been a "protest approach" regarding the right to hope for years. He said, "The European Court of Human Rights' reminder of the right to hope was 10 years ago. Last year, a warning was issued in this regard. A year later, the matter was reconsidered, but the authorities have not yet taken any steps in this regard."
