Occupied Quds – Saba:
Israeli occupation forces continued escalating their violations against Palestinians in occupied Quds and the West Bank on Thursday, including forced self-demolitions of houses, arrests, and military raids.
In the town of Silwan, south of Al-Aqsa Mosque in occupied Quds, Israeli forces compelled Palestinian resident Eyad Qaraeen to demolish his own house in the Wadi Hilweh neighborhood, under the pretext of lacking a construction permit, according to the Palestinian Information Center.
These actions are part of a systematic Israeli policy aimed at forcibly displacing Palestinians from the holy city by denying them building permits and imposing heavy fines on those who refuse to demolish their houses. Meanwhile, Israeli settlement expansion continues in and around the city.
In a related development, Israeli forces arrested Palestinian citizen Waleed Mazhar after raiding the village of Deir Nizam, northwest of Ramallah.
The occupation forces also stormed the house of freed prisoner Salameh Al-Qatawi in the town of Birzeit, north of Ramallah, as part of ongoing incursions targeting Palestinians throughout the West Bank.
