UNICEF: Over 5,000 Gaza Children Suffered Malnutrition in First Half of July
[03/ August/2025]

Gaza – Saba:

UNICEF Regional Spokesperson Salim Oweis reported Sunday that over 5,000 Gaza children developed malnutrition during the first half of July alone.

In press statements Oweis stressed the urgent need to ensure conditions for delivering diverse aid to the besieged enclave.

- 900,000 children currently face hunger in Gaza
- 70,000 suffer acute malnutrition
- 60,839 martyrs (mostly women/children) since October 7
- 149,588 injured (thousands still trapped under rubble)

Israel maintains total closure since March 2 blocking:
- Food aid
- Medical supplies
- Fuel deliveries

Hospitals continuously receive starvation and malnutrition cases as famine spreads.

The data exposes accelerated collapse of children's health under Israel's US/EU-backed genocide.
