Gaza - Saba:
The Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas) condemned the widespread storming of the Al-Aqsa Mosque compound this Sunday morning, led by the extremist terrorist minister Itamar Ben-Gvir and Israeli Knesset member Amit Halevy. Hamas considers it an escalating crime against Al-Aqsa Mosque and a provocation of the feelings of Muslims around the world through the desecration of the first of the two Qiblas (direction of prayer) and the third of the two Holy Sanctuaries.
The Movement said in a press statement received by the Yemeni News Agency (Saba) that these organized incursions by settler gangs, accompanied by provocative tours and the raising of the flags of the Zionist entity, including one bearing the phrase "The Global House of Allah" in Arabic and a picture of the alleged Temple, after the expulsion of worshippers and the imposition of a siege on the mosque and the Old City, will not succeed in Judaizing Al-Aqsa Mosque or changing its Islamic and Arab identity.
Hamas noted that "the recurrence of these incursions, coinciding with Jewish holidays and with direct support from the extremist right-wing government of the entity, constitutes a continuation of the aggression against our Palestinian people and their holy sites, and increases the state of turmoil in the region."
It added that the escalating criminal behavior of the enemy government, including massacres, genocide, and starvation in Gaza, killings and terrorism in the West Bank, and ongoing violations in Quds and Al-Aqsa Mosque, constitutes a direct threat to regional and international peace and security. Hamas called on the international community and the United Nations to take serious action to stop these crimes and hold their perpetrators accountable.
Hamas also called on all components of the Arab and Islamic nation to take urgent action to halt the systematic violations against Al-Aqsa Mosque and to take positions that compel the enemy to halt the ongoing crime of Judaization.
The Movement called on the Palestinian people and their valiant resistance to prevent the implementation of any of the enemy's criminal schemes against Quds and Al-Aqsa Mosque, stressing that the campaign to confront the enemy and its attacks, and to resist its fascism, will continue until the liberation of the land and holy sites, and the establishment of an independent Palestinian state with Quds as its capital.
