The Los Angeles Lakers announced Sunday that All-Star guard Luka Doncic has signed a three-year contract extension worth $165 million.
Doncic, a five-time NBA All-Star, confirmed the news on social media, writing: “Just signed my extension with the Lakers. Excited to keep working to bring championships to L.A. and make our fans proud. Grateful to the team, my teammates, and the fans who’ve shown love and support from day one. This is just the beginning.”
Lakers General Manager and Vice President of Basketball Operations Rob Pelinka described the signing as a “historic moment” for the franchise.
