Ridhwan Al-Mutawakel, Vice Chairman of the Supreme National Anti-Corruption Authority received on Saturday the third financial disclosure statement from Dr. Ibrahim Ali Mahdi, Acting Chairman of the Tax and Customs Authority.
During the handover ceremony, attended by members of the Authority—Dr. Abdulaziz Al-Kumaim, Engineer Harith Al-Omari, Dr. Ahmed Al-Shaikh, and Salem Al-Sayani—Al-Mutawakel commended Dr. Mahdi’s commitment to submitting his financial disclosure in compliance with the Financial Disclosure Law No. (30) of 2006. He wished him success in carrying out his duties as part of the government’s reform and development program for the benefit of the nation and its citizens.
Al-Mutawakel emphasized the Authority’s dedication to enhancing cooperation and coordination with the Tax and Customs Authority, continuing joint efforts in line with current priorities. This includes the work of the joint task force to achieve financial reforms, combat corruption, and strengthen the Authority’s efforts in proper revenue collection—especially amid the challenges facing the nation due to aggression and blockade.
For his part, Dr. Mahdi affirmed that submitting his financial disclosure was in compliance with the law and reflected his commitment to promoting and safeguarding the integrity of public officials.
He also stressed the Tax and Customs Authority’s keenness to enhance cooperation with Anti-Corruption Authority in efforts to prevent and combat corruption, achieving the desired goals.
