Palestinian Villages West of Jerusalem Hold Protest Against Genocide and Starvation in Gaza
[02/ August/2025]

Occupied Quds – SABA:

The Palestinian Popular Committee in the villages of Abu Ghosh, Ein Rafa, and Ein Naqquba organized a protest on Friday under the slogan “Enough Silence”, condemning the ongoing genocide and starvation of Gaza’s population. The demonstration took place at the Hemed Bridge, which connects the villages west of occupied Quds.

According to the Palestinian news agency Safa, hundreds of residents participated in the protest, carrying signs in Arabic, Hebrew, and English reading “March for Humanity… Save Gaza,” “No to Starvation,” and “Wake Up, World… Enough Bloodshed.”

Protesters also held empty cooking pots to symbolize the famine gripping Gaza, and chanted slogans such as: “From Jerusalem we declare, Gaza is the star of our skies,” “Abu Ghosh says: Break the siege,” and “We will not be silent about the starvation.”

Activist Abdel Hamid Abu Ghosh, one of the protest’s organizers, said: “We are here today to say enough to starvation, enough to genocide. This protest reclaims public space for the people of Abu Ghosh, Ein Naqquba, and Ein Rafa—villages that have not held solidarity actions in years.”

He added that the protest reflects growing momentum on the ground and underscores the importance of continuing pressure until the genocide and starvation policies against Gaza are brought to an end.
