The United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) has warned that child malnutrition in the Gaza Strip has reached catastrophic levels.
In a post on X, UNICEF said that it and its partners are working to provide as many children as possible with the life-saving treatment they desperately need, but stressed that the situation must change drastically.
In another post, the organization stated: “Tons of life-saving food are waiting at the borders.”
It added: “With every passing hour of delay, more children are dying.”
Since October 7, 2023, the Israeli enemy — with U.S. backing — has been committing a genocide in Gaza that includes killings, starvation, destruction, and displacement, all while ignoring international appeals and defying orders from the International Court of Justice to halt its actions.
