Al-Bayda: Inspection of services at Al-Tayeb Hospital & progress on Doctors’ housing project in Sabah District

Bayda – Saba:
The Deputy Governor of Al-Bayda for Health Affairs, Nasser Al-Ajji, conducted an inspection visit on Thursday to assess the performance and medical services at Al-Tayeb Rural Hospital in Sabah District.

During the visit, Al-Ajji reviewed the nature of services provided in the hospital's various departments and clinics, including laboratories, the maternity ward, and the diarrhea treatment unit.

He listened to a briefing from the district’s Health Office Director, Dr. Najeeb Al-Masmari, who outlined the hospital’s operational status, the services offered to patients, critical needs for maintaining functionality, and the main challenges hindering workflow.

Al-Ajji praised the community initiative that contributed to the construction of the hospital, describing it as a vital project that meets citizens’ needs and alleviates their suffering and travel burdens to neighboring areas.

He emphasized that the hospital is a source of pride for the district’s residents and commended the level of healthcare and services provided, despite limited resources.

The Deputy Governor reaffirmed the local authority’s commitment to overcoming the obstacles facing the hospital’s operations to ensure improved services and the provision of medicines and medical supplies.

He also highlighted the importance of enhancing support for health centers and units, ensuring the availability of medical staff, and furnishing and operating the hospital to serve the district’s population.

Al-Ajji commended the discipline and dedication of the medical staff in delivering healthcare services and called on relevant authorities to expedite the furnishing of the hospital and its provision with equipment, medical devices, and specialized personnel.

He urged further efforts to enhance healthcare services and activate various aspects of institutional and medical performance in the district.

In a related context, Al-Ajji inspected the progress of construction work on the Doctors’ Housing Project at Sabah Hospital, which is being implemented as a community initiative by philanthropist Haj Naji Al-Faqih, a resident of the district.

During the visit, he was briefed by Dr. Al-Masmari on the project’s progress, which has reached 90% completion.

The Deputy Governor affirmed the local authority’s keenness to advance the health sector in the district in a way that meets citizens' expectations and eases their suffering.
