Gaza - Saba:
The Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas) welcomed on Thursday the international efforts and positions that support the Palestinian people’s right to reclaim their rights to their land and homeland, and to establish their independent state without conditions or restrictions, considering this an inherent and natural right.
In a press statement received by the Yemeni News Agency (SABA), Hamas stated that "the recognition of a fully sovereign Palestinian state is the fruit of our people's continuous struggle and reflects respect for the principles of international law."
The movement added: "Hamas closely follows every step that could lead to any positive progress in our Palestinian people’s struggle at all levels. From this standpoint, the movement expresses its appreciation for the positive positions announced during the high-level international conference held in New York regarding the Palestinian cause."
Hamas emphasized that "resistance and armed struggle are a national and legal entitlement as long as the occupation persists, as affirmed by international charters and norms. These cannot be abandoned except by the full restoration of our rights and the establishment of our independent, fully sovereign state."
The statement continued: "Stopping the crimes of genocide and ethnic cleansing, followed by ending the occupation, is the first step in any serious international action. This requires isolating the enemy and prosecuting its leaders as war criminals—not embracing them or establishing any agreements or normalization with them and their criminal entity."
