A Palestinian young man was injured by bullet shrapnel on Thursday evening during clashes that erupted in the village of Deir Jarir, east of Ramallah, after locals confronted an attempted raid by settlers.
A local source told the Palestinian News Agency (WAFA) that a group of settlers tried to storm Deir Jarir from its western entrance, but the villagers confronted them and prevented them from approaching nearby houses.
Following this, Israeli occupation forces raided the village and fired a barrage of live ammunition at the Palestinian youths who had repelled the settlers' incursion, resulting in one young man being injured by live bullet shrapnel in his shoulder. His condition was described as minor.
