Occupied Quds – Saba:
Islamic authorities in Al-Quds (Al-Quds) strongly condemned the escalating and unprecedented violations committed by the Israeli occupation authorities and extremist Jewish groups, aimed at undermining the historical and religious status of the blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque.
In a joint statement issued Thursday, the authorities stated that Israeli forces have increasingly stormed the mosque’s courtyards in large numbers, desecrating its sanctity and facilitating extremist Jews in performing various fabricated Talmudic rituals and prayers within its premises.
They categorically rejected all violations and occupation measures targeting Al-Aqsa Mosque, its preachers, employees, and guards — including incitement campaigns and unjust bans from entering the mosque — which seek to empty it of worshippers and impose temporal and spatial division.
The Islamic authorities reaffirmed that Al-Aqsa Mosque, with its total area of 144 dunums, all its buildings, courtyards, walls, and all paths leading to it above and below ground, is the exclusive right of Muslims. It is a sacred Islamic site that accepts neither division nor partnership, and no one has the right to prevent any Muslim from accessing it to pray and perform Islamic rituals.
The statement called on the international community, particularly King Abdullah II ibn Al-Hussein, the custodian of Islamic and Christian holy sites in Al-Quds, to intervene and stop these blatant attacks on Al-Aqsa Mosque. The authorities emphasized the King's continued commitment to safeguarding the sanctity of Al-Quds' religious sites.
The Islamic authorities include: the Al-Quds Islamic Waqf Council, the Higher Islamic Council, the Palestinian Dar al-Ifta, the Office of the Chief Islamic Justice, and the Al-Quds Islamic Awqaf Department.
