Sana’a – Saba:
The General Authority for Insurance and Pensions has begun disbursing the second half of the March 2021 pension for civilian retirees, the authority announced on Thursday.
Head of the Authority Ibrahim al-Haifi stated that the disbursement is being carried out under the exceptional temporary mechanism supporting the state's payroll bill, in accordance with Law No. (2) of 1446 AH, which stipulates 12 pension disbursements per year.
Al-Haifi noted that this step is the result of extensive efforts and ongoing coordination with the Ministers of Finance and Civil Service and Administrative Development, aimed at ensuring the consistent payment of pensions as part of the Government of Change and Development’s agenda, which gives special attention to retirees in recognition of their years of service.
He called on retirees and authorized representatives of beneficiaries to head to post offices with the required documents to facilitate pension collection.
