Moscow - Saba:
Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said that Russia has gained immunity to sanctions, and the economy has long been operating under a huge number of restrictions.
Peskov told reporters, in response to a question about whether the Russian economy was preparing for possible new sanctions, "We have already gained a certain immunity (to sanctions), and we have been living under a huge number of restrictions for a long time. We also monitor all statements made by President Trump and other international representatives."
He explained that the Kremlin is recording new statements by US President Donald Trump regarding a settlement to the situation in Ukraine and potential restrictions, according to Sputnik News.
On Tuesday, US President Donald Trump announced that the 50-day deadline he "gave" Russia earlier this month to reach a settlement to the conflict in Ukraine "has been reduced to 10 days, starting today (Tuesday)."
Commenting on the visit of Dmitry Bakanov, Director General of the Russian Space Agency, to the United States, the Russian presidential spokesman noted that "maintaining dialogue between Moscow and Washington in the field of space is extremely important, but its impact on overall relations should not be exaggerated."
He continued: "These contacts are extremely important. Perhaps the impact of maintaining these contacts on overall bilateral relations should not be exaggerated, but at the same time, maintaining dialogue, at least in these important areas, is also extremely important."
