WFP: Food Situation in Gaza rapidly deteriorating
[30/ July/2025]
Rome - Saba:
The World Food Programme (WFP) warned on Wednesday that the food situation in the Gaza Strip is deteriorating rapidly, with one in three people enduring entire days without food, while nearly 75% of the population faces emergency levels of food insecurity.

According to the Quds Press Agency, the WFP added that over a quarter of Gaza’s population is currently living in "famine-like conditions" due to severe shortages of basic food supplies. The agency stressed that "time is running out" to activate a comprehensive humanitarian response.

The WFP pointed out that field indicators warn of an imminent catastrophe, threatening a complete collapse of food security, which demands immediate action from the international community to ensure aid reaches the besieged population.

Meanwhile, the Israeli occupation army, backed by the U.S. and Europe, continues its aggression against the Gaza Strip since October 7, 2023. Israeli warplanes relentlessly bomb hospitals, buildings, towers, and Palestinian civilian homes, destroying them over the heads of their residents, while blocking access to water, food, medicine, and fuel.
