The "Lawyers for Justice" group in Palestine stated that the Palestinian Authority (PA) has escalated political arrests in the occupied West Bank.
In a statement issued on Wednesday, the group added, "We are currently monitoring at least 17 detainees held by the PA."
It noted that most of these arrests were made on the grounds of opinion and expression, whether for writing or participating in protests in support of Gaza.
The group demanded an end to these arrests and the release of the detainees.
