The Israeli newspaper Haaretz revealed that Israel threatened to halt aid drops if videos documenting the devastation in the Gaza Strip were published.
According to the newspaper, Israeli officials warned journalists aboard aid planes over Gaza that aid drops to the Strip could be canceled if the journalists aboard the planes filmed the devastated enclave from above.
