Rome - Saba:
Francesca Albanese, the UN Special Rapporteur for the West Bank and Gaza Strip and a critic of Israel's policies in the Gaza Strip, revealed that the sanctions recently imposed by the administration of US President Donald Trump will have serious impacts on her life and work.
"It is very serious to be on the list of people subject to sanctions by the United States," Francesca Albanese told the Associated Press in Rome on Tuesday, adding that individuals sanctioned by the United States cannot conduct financial transactions or obtain credit cards with any American bank.
She emphasized that "when sanctions are used politically, they are harmful and dangerous."
