Bayda governor Abdullah Idris on Wednesday inaugurated a stone paving project in Bayda city, with a total cost of 47 million riyals, funded by the local authority.
Governor Idris, accompanied by Shura Council member Abdullah al-Mudhafari, was briefed by Public Works Sector official Eng. Khaled Al-Qafaei on the project's scope.
The paving work will cover an area of 2,500 square meters, stretching from the Education Office on Kuwait Street to the Security Street and Al-Hayat Hospital.
The project includes stone paving and the construction of rainwater drainage channels aimed at reducing traffic congestion and accidents, as well as enhancing the city's overall appearance.
During the launch, governor Idris stressed the local authority’s commitment to improving public services and alleviating citizens’ hardships.
He noted that the paving and rehabilitation of main and secondary streets are part of a broader package of development projects currently underway in the governorate.
He urged for the project’s completion in accordance with engineering standards and within the designated timeframe.
