London – Saba:
English club Everton announced on Tuesday the signing of young Moroccan footballer Adam Aznou, the left-back from German giants Bayern Munich, on a four-year contract until the summer of 2029.
In an official statement on its website, Everton said: "Everton has completed the signing of left-back Adam Aznou from Bayern Munich for an undisclosed fee."
The statement added: "The 19-year-old defender has signed a four-year deal running until the end of June 2029."
Aznou graduated from Barcelona’s famed La Masia academy, where he spent three years in the Catalan club’s youth ranks before moving to Munich in the summer of 2023.
In the second half of last season, Aznou was loaned to Spanish side Valladolid before returning to the Bavarian giants and participating in the Club World Cup this summer.
Aznou, who was under contract with Bayern until 2027, played 13 La Liga matches in the second half of the 2024/25 season—including 10 starts—and also made three international appearances for Morocco.
According to English reports, Everton will pay Bayern Munich around €9 million, with an additional €3 million in add-ons. The Bavarian club has reportedly secured a buy-back clause and a matching rights agreement in the verbal deal.
