Hodeidah – SABA:
The Al-Jarrahi Agricultural Cooperative Association in Hodeidah Governorate received two new agricultural drilling machines today, funded by the Hodeidah Support and Development Fund. This initiative is part of broader efforts to strengthen agricultural infrastructure across Tihama districts.
The support falls within the framework of the National Agricultural and Livestock Development Program, which aims to equip agricultural cooperatives with modern technical tools and improve water resource management. The ultimate goal is to boost agricultural productivity and contribute to national food security.
During the handover ceremony, the Association’s Secretary-General, Abdullah Rajeh, praised the initiative as a vital contribution reflecting the state’s commitment to supporting farmers and addressing their on-the-ground needs.
Rajeh expressed gratitude to the Governor of Hodeidah for his continued oversight and strong support for agricultural development projects in the southern district cluster. He emphasized that the two drilling machines will significantly enhance the cooperative’s ability to serve farmers, particularly in improving irrigation networks and land reclamation efforts.
He further noted that this delivery is part of a broader series of interventions led by the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries, and Water Resources in coordination with local authorities and the Hodeidah Support and Development Fund. These efforts aim to establish a sustainable agricultural development model in the governorate, aligned with evolving environmental and economic realities.
