Moscow - Saba:
Lieutenant General Apti Alaudinov, commander of the Russian Akhmat Special Forces, on Tuesday said the Ukrainian Armed Forces are mobilizing their full forces in an attempt to halt the advance of Russian units toward the Sumy region, thus creating a buffer zone.
Sputnik quoted Alaudinov as saying in this regard: "The Ukrainian Armed Forces are trying to stop the advance of our forces toward Sumy. It has become clear that they are trying to stop units of the Russian Ministry of Defense, which have driven the enemy out of the Kursk region and are now advancing toward Sumy. They are trying with all their might to stop our units, while the enemy is constantly trying to dislodge us from this area, but the advance of the Russian units continues around the clock."
Alaudinov added: "The Ukrainian Armed Forces are particularly active in the border area of the Sumy region near Titkino."
The commander of the Russian Akhmat Special Forces continued: "There, the enemy is also trying to stop the advance of our units of the Russian Ministry of Defense, and the Aida detachment of the Akhmat Special Forces is helping these units stop the enemy in some areas and assisting them in advancing in others."
