Moscow - Saba:
Dmitry Medvedev, Deputy Chairman of the Russian Security Council, stressed the need for US President Donald Trump to remember that the language of "ultimatums" represents "a step towards war."Medvedev said on the X platform, according to RT, "Trump is playing ultimatums with Russia: 50 days or 10 days.
He should remember that every new ultimatum represents a threat and a step towards war. Not between Russia and Ukraine, but with his own country. Don't follow the path of Sleepy Joe!"
This was in response to Trump's statement about shortening the deadline for reaching a ceasefire between Russia and Ukraine. US President Donald Trump had stated earlier on Monday that he was shortening the 50-day deadline he set earlier this month for a ceasefire in Ukraine to between 10 and 12 days.
He said he "doesn't see any progress in resolving the Ukrainian conflict" and that "there's no point in waiting."
