Sana’a – SABA:

Mukhtar Al-Turki, representative of the Central Emergency Development Interventions Unit in Al-Mahwit Governorate, inspected today the progress of the Mar’an–Bayt Al-Suraymi–Wadi La’ah road project in Al-Rajm District. The project is being implemented as a direct developmental intervention by the unit.

The project aims to link Al-Rajm District in Al-Mahwit with Bani Al-Awam District in Hajjah Governorate, covering a distance of 10 kilometers. It falls under broader efforts to improve geographic connectivity between districts and ease citizen mobility.

Al-Turki highlighted the strategic importance of the road in connecting Al-Mahwit and Hajjah, noting its role in facilitating transportation, reducing travel distances between villages and isolated areas, and improving access to essential services—ultimately enhancing living conditions in rural regions.

He praised the active involvement and initiatives of local communities in supporting official development efforts, particularly in infrastructure projects that are vital to improving services in underserved areas.

Al-Turki added that the Central Interventions Unit continues to implement critical projects across various districts of the governorate, in line with strategic plans that prioritize urgent needs and strengthen community resilience.
