Occupied al-Quds - Saba:
Israeli occupation authorities on Monday forced Palestinian citizen Yousef Qaraeen to self-demolish his home in the town of Jabal al-Mukabber, southeast of occupied al-Quds.
According to local sources, the 70-square-meter house had stood for 12 years and was home to Qaraeen, his wife, and daughter. The demolition came after Israeli authorities imposed fines exceeding 100,000 shekels under the pretext of unlicensed construction.
Israeli authorities systematically force Palestinians in al-Quds to demolish their homes or face heavy fines and demolition by Israeli bulldozers.
The enemy forces also routinely deny building permits to Palestinians while expanding illegal settlements—part of a wider policy aimed at forcibly displacing Palestinians from the city.
Since the start of the aggression on Gaza on October 7, 2023, Israeli enemy forces have demolished 623 homes and structures in al-Quds, including long-inhabited residences, buildings under construction, and income-generating establishments, according to the Quds governorate.
