Shura Council Presidency Blesses Armed Forces’ Declaration of Fourth Phase of Naval Blockade on Zionist Enemy
[28/ July/2025]

Sana’a - Saba:

The Shura Council Presidency , in its meeting today chaired by Council President Mohammed Hussein Al-Aidarous, blessed the announcement by the Yemeni Armed Forces of the fourth phase of the naval blockade on the Zionist enemy and the targeting of ships belonging to companies dealing with its ports, regardless of their nationality.

The Presidency indicated that the decision comes within the framework of the courageous steps taken by Yemen — its leadership, government, and people — in commitment to the firm religious, moral, and humanitarian stance in supporting Gaza, which is subjected to the most atrocious genocide and famine in modern history.

It renewed confirmation of Yemen’s steadfast position in supporting the oppressed Palestinian people until the aggression is stopped and the siege on Gaza is lifted. This stance is in line with Yemen’s declared commitment to the security and safety of maritime navigation, with the exception of ships associated with the usurping entity.

The Presidency strongly condemned the continued insistence of the Zionist war criminals on committing the crime of starvation against civilians in Gaza, which results in the death of one out of every three civilians due to hunger, in addition to the systematic and criminal targeting of those seeking humanitarian aid.

It denounced the ongoing silence and betrayal of Arab and Islamic positions in the face of Zionist war crimes, which represents an unprecedented moral downfall in the history of the nation and humanity.

During its meeting, which included the President and members of the Council’s Advisory Committee and the Secretary-General of the Council, the Presidency reviewed the draft plan of the Council’s committees for the year 1447 AH and its objectives related to the development of the Council’s system and mechanisms of work in a manner that enhances its advisory and constitutional role, and appropriate decisions were taken in this regard.

It approved assigning the Advisory Committee to follow up with the permanent committees and support them in preparing annual plans and implementing their programs in accordance with the requirements of the phase and in line with the general directives of the revolutionary leadership, the Supreme Political Council, and the Program of the Government of Change and Construction.

The Presidency also reviewed the report of the Community Committee and the community and field activities of the Council members for the month of Muharram 1447 AH, and listened to a presentation by Deputy Chairman of the Committee, Engineer Lutfi Al-Jarmouzi, on the volume of activity, which reached 197 activities related to resolving social issues and implementing community initiatives, as well as cultural and media aspects.

The Presidency praised the community activity of the Council members and the Community Committee, affirming the importance of intensifying community engagement in line with developments and issues on the local and international arenas, and the need to increase field visits to assess the conditions of citizens and families of martyrs and to visit those stationed on the frontlines.

The Presidency also discussed the level of implementation of tasks issued during its previous meeting and ratified them, reviewed the topics on the agenda, and approved them.
